Artist
Henrik Bredenbals
Henrik shoots cities the way other people read poetry — slowly, returning to the same lines. The work lives between New York’s late-train stillness and Portugal’s salt-bleached afternoons. Quiet frames. Strong tonality. The patience of a photographer who waits for the right second instead of the right scene.
Two series at Berlin Collective: New York Chronicles (Manhattan from the periphery) and Saudade (Atlantic coast, slow noon).
A Bushwick wall holds a mural portrait of Biggie — blue tilted Kangol, hooded eyes, lips parting mid-rhyme, the rope chain drawn in careful white. Above him, stencilled tags read TYRON REGORE in dripped black and yellow. Brick reds shift to charcoal across the building, and a tangle of overhead wires cuts the grey sky. Two graffiti-bombed bollards stand on the sidewalk, their stickers stacked in years. A piece of New York that had already painted itself before henrik arrived.
The sixth frame in the New York Chronicles is the loudest one — a mural this scaled needs the full vertical to breathe, and henrik gives it that without crowding the wires out. Where earlier frames in the series sit lower and quieter, this one looks straight up at a face the block already worships. The composition lets the king and the cables share the picture, and keeps the bollards in the foreground as honest witnesses.
A pigment print on Alu-Dibond, frameless with a floating mount effect. The deep mural blues, brick reds and overcast whites hold a clean tonal depth, while the matte finish keeps the street texture readable. Sizes from 30×20 cm to 210×140 cm. Curated in Berlin, printed in Europe. Ready to hang. Free EU shipping.
Why this price
A gallery charges 2–3× more for the same print. Here's where the money goes.
online-only studio
€499
For a 120×80 cm Exhibition print. You keep €700+ — that's the difference.
No rent on a prime-street corner.
No resellers. No commission chain.
How it arrives
Your artwork with an integrated aluminum mounting frame pre-attached to the back, plus a short installation note.
Each piece ships flat in protective packaging designed to handle courier transit without damage.
Integrated floating wall-mount sits slightly off the wall, casting a subtle shadow. Exhibition sizes and up — use a solid interior wall or fittings rated for heavier loads.
1–2 weeks from order. Each piece is produced on demand.
Please note: Wall screws, hooks, and dowels are not included. Use fittings appropriate for your wall type (drywall, brick, concrete) and the size you’ve chosen.
Care
Dry microfiber cloth for dust. For stubborn marks, dampen with water or anti-static screen cleaner. Avoid paper towels, ammonia-based cleaners, and abrasives — they scratch the acrylic.
As with any photographic print, prolonged direct sunlight will eventually fade the colors. Hang out of long-duration direct sun where possible.
Hang on a dry interior wall. Bathrooms and other high-humidity rooms aren’t ideal for long-term display.

The Series
Bushwick brick, tangled wires, and a king watching from the wall.
New York Chronicles is henrik's running notebook of the city as it actually is — not the skyline postcard, but the block. Bushwick murals on brick. Sticker-fought bollards. Cables that crisscross the sky like a half-finished sentence. Diner light bleeding onto a Queens sidewalk after rain. The series moves through the five boroughs at street level, camera low, looking for the moments where the city writes on itself. The palette stays honest to what New York gives — overcast greys, painted brick reds, the deep blues of mural pigment, the dirty white of pavement after a long week. Nothing is cleaned up for the picture. Wires stay where they are. Tags stay readable. The point is the texture, not the polish. Each piece in the series stands alone, but they share a way of looking — patient, unromantic, fond. A New York seen by someone who walks it, not by someone passing through. Hung together they read like chapters of a long letter back to the city. Hung apart they each carry a single block, a single afternoon, a single wall that already had a story before henrik arrived.
