Artist
Henrik Bredenbals
Henrik shoots cities the way other people read poetry — slowly, returning to the same lines. The work lives between New York’s late-train stillness and Portugal’s salt-bleached afternoons. Quiet frames. Strong tonality. The patience of a photographer who waits for the right second instead of the right scene.
Two series at Berlin Collective: New York Chronicles (Manhattan from the periphery) and Saudade (Atlantic coast, slow noon).
New York Chronicles #5 wall art print by henrik — the Brooklyn Bridge tower seen from below, framed through a curtain of out-of-focus autumn leaves in rust and amber. A small American flag catches the wind above the gothic arches, the cables fan out in fine geometry, and the pale winter sky behind softens everything into a quiet warm blue. The most cinematic frame in the New York Chronicles series, and the one that leans hardest into the season.
henrik shoots this one low and patient, letting the foliage stay properly out of focus so the bridge sits inside the leaves rather than behind them. Where the other Brooklyn frame in the series gives you the deck head-on, this one chooses the looking-up angle, the bystander's perspective from the Dumbo side after the trees have turned. Grain stays honest. The stone keeps its weathered texture.
A premium pigment print on Alu-Dibond, frameless with a floating mount effect. The matte finish holds the rust tones and pale sky without flattening either. Sizes from 30×20 cm up to 210×140 cm. Curated in Berlin, printed in Europe. Ready to hang. Free EU shipping.
Why this price
A gallery charges 2–3× more for the same print. Here's where the money goes.
online-only studio
€499
For a 120×80 cm Exhibition print. You keep €700+ — that's the difference.
No rent on a prime-street corner.
No resellers. No commission chain.
How it arrives
Your artwork with an integrated aluminum mounting frame pre-attached to the back, plus a short installation note.
Each piece ships flat in protective packaging designed to handle courier transit without damage.
Integrated floating wall-mount sits slightly off the wall, casting a subtle shadow. Exhibition sizes and up — use a solid interior wall or fittings rated for heavier loads.
1–2 weeks from order. Each piece is produced on demand.
Please note: Wall screws, hooks, and dowels are not included. Use fittings appropriate for your wall type (drywall, brick, concrete) and the size you’ve chosen.
Care
Dry microfiber cloth for dust. For stubborn marks, dampen with water or anti-static screen cleaner. Avoid paper towels, ammonia-based cleaners, and abrasives — they scratch the acrylic.
As with any photographic print, prolonged direct sunlight will eventually fade the colors. Hang out of long-duration direct sun where possible.
Hang on a dry interior wall. Bathrooms and other high-humidity rooms aren’t ideal for long-term display.

The Series
A city's iron arteries seen through the soft veil of autumn.
New York Chronicles is henrik's slow walk through a city most of us already think we know. Instead of the postcard, the series looks for the in-between — a fire escape catching afternoon light, steam rising over a crosswalk, the edge of a bridge framed by something growing out of a sidewalk crack. The palette runs warm and slightly bruised: rust, sepia, soft cement, the pale blue of an East Coast winter sky. Grain stays present. Nothing is over-corrected. Each frame keeps the small imperfections that make a place feel lived-in rather than performed. The series sits comfortably on a wall next to mid-century furniture, raw plaster, or a shelf of paperbacks — it doesn't ask to be the loudest object in the room. Together the chronicles form a quiet portrait of New York as a working city, photographed in a register closer to memoir than tourism. They belong in a flat where someone has actually walked those blocks, or wishes they had.
