Henrik Bredenbals
Henrik shoots cities the way other people read poetry — slowly, returning to the same lines. The work lives between New York’s late-train stillness and Portugal’s salt-bleached afternoons. Quiet frames. Strong tonality. The patience of a photographer who waits for the right second instead of the right scene.
Two series at Berlin Collective: New York Chronicles (Manhattan from the periphery) and Saudade (Atlantic coast, slow noon).
New York Chronicles #15 wall art print, by henrik — Lower Manhattan seen from the open door of a helicopter, two white sneakers braced over the Financial District, the East River cutting silver between Manhattan and Brooklyn. Brooklyn Bridge holds the left edge of the frame, the harbor opens on the right, and the city stretches into a dusty winter horizon. Cold air, warm light, and that strange aerial calm where every yellow cab becomes a pixel.
The most vertiginous frame in the series, and the one that most clearly shows henrik's hand. Where other chronicles work at street level, this one trades crowd for altitude and lets the body anchor the shot — sneakers, ankles, a gloved hand on a frame, the rest of the world dropping away. Nothing is staged for thrill. The perspective does the work.
A pigment print on Alu-Dibond, frameless with a floating mount effect. The matte surface holds the pale sky and the warm concrete without flattening either, and the river keeps its quiet steel. Sizes from 30×20 cm to 210×140 cm. Curated in Berlin, printed in Europe. Ready to hang. Free EU shipping.
Why this price
A gallery charges 2–3× more for the same print. Here's where the money goes.
online-only studio
€499
For a 120×80 cm Exhibition print. You keep €700+ — that's the difference.
No rent on a prime-street corner.
No resellers. No commission chain.
How it arrives
Your artwork with an integrated aluminum mounting frame pre-attached to the back, plus a short installation note.
Each piece ships flat in protective packaging designed to handle courier transit without damage.
Integrated floating wall-mount sits slightly off the wall, casting a subtle shadow. Exhibition sizes and up — use a solid interior wall or fittings rated for heavier loads.
1–2 weeks from order. Each piece is produced on demand.
Please note: Wall screws, hooks, and dowels are not included. Use fittings appropriate for your wall type (drywall, brick, concrete) and the size you’ve chosen.
Care
Dry microfiber cloth for dust. For stubborn marks, dampen with water or anti-static screen cleaner. Avoid paper towels, ammonia-based cleaners, and abrasives — they scratch the acrylic.
As with any photographic print, prolonged direct sunlight will eventually fade the colors. Hang out of long-duration direct sun where possible.
Hang on a dry interior wall. Bathrooms and other high-humidity rooms aren’t ideal for long-term display.

The Series
Manhattan from a doorway, the city falling away beneath two white sneakers.
New York Chronicles is henrik's running notebook on a city that refuses to sit still. Shot across rooftops, helicopter doorways, subway stairwells and crosstown sidewalks, the series treats Manhattan less as a postcard subject and more as a working set — light, weather and human nerve, all colliding in the same frame. The palette runs warm at street level and cools the higher you climb: terracotta brick and yellow cab against Hudson green, steel blue and pale winter sky. Each frame leans editorial rather than touristic, closer in spirit to a magazine essay than a skyline montage. henrik works with available light, slight haze, and a willingness to keep the human element in the frame — a hand on a railing, sneakers over a void, a stranger in mid-step. The result is a body of work that feels lived rather than visited: New York at the speed it is actually experienced, by someone who keeps coming back. Hung together, the chronicles read as a city in motion. Hung alone, each piece holds its own weather.
