Artist
Henrik Bredenbals
Henrik shoots cities the way other people read poetry — slowly, returning to the same lines. The work lives between New York’s late-train stillness and Portugal’s salt-bleached afternoons. Quiet frames. Strong tonality. The patience of a photographer who waits for the right second instead of the right scene.
Two series at Berlin Collective: New York Chronicles (Manhattan from the periphery) and Saudade (Atlantic coast, slow noon).
New York Chronicles #11 wall art print by henrik — the Brooklyn Bridge from above at the hinge of the day, its cables strung against Lower Manhattan while a low ember of sun slips under a heavy cloud deck. The East River runs slate and silver beneath. Tail-lights bead along the FDR like a slow red seam stitched into the right edge of the frame.
This is the most cinematic piece in the New York Chronicles series. Where the daylight frames in the body of work read crisp and reportorial, #11 leans into weather and dusk: graphite sky, warm windows starting to wake, a single hot strip of horizon. The bridge tower sits dead-centre as the quiet anchor while everything else — water, traffic, sky — keeps moving around it.
A premium pigment print on Alu-Dibond, frameless with a floating mount effect. The matte finish holds shadow detail in the cloud and gives the ember sun its weight without glare. Sizes from 30×20 cm to 210×140 cm. Curated in Berlin, printed in Europe. Ready to hang. Free EU shipping.
Why this price

online-only studio
€499
For a 120×80 cm Exhibition print. You keep €700+ — that's the difference.

How it arrives
Your artwork with an integrated aluminum mounting frame pre-attached to the back, plus a short installation note.
Each piece ships flat in protective packaging designed to handle courier transit without damage.
Integrated floating wall-mount sits slightly off the wall, casting a subtle shadow. Exhibition sizes and up — use a solid interior wall or fittings rated for heavier loads.
1–2 weeks from order. Each piece is produced on demand.
Please note: Wall screws, hooks, and dowels are not included. Use fittings appropriate for your wall type (drywall, brick, concrete) and the size you’ve chosen.
Care
Dry microfiber cloth for dust. For stubborn marks, dampen with water or anti-static screen cleaner. Avoid paper towels, ammonia-based cleaners, and abrasives — they scratch the acrylic.
As with any photographic print, prolonged direct sunlight will eventually fade the colors. Hang out of long-duration direct sun where possible.
Hang on a dry interior wall. Bathrooms and other high-humidity rooms aren’t ideal for long-term display.

The Series
A city caught between weather and ember, holding its breath at dusk.
New York Chronicles is a slow walk through the city at the hours nobody photographs for postcards — the overcast afternoon, the sodium-lit underpass, the bridge tower against a sky that hasn't decided what it is yet. Henrik works in a cinematic register, closer to the colour grading of a Michael Mann night scene than a tourist frame. The palette runs cool: graphite skies, wet asphalt, steel and glass, with sudden warm punctuation — a brake light, a sunset slipping under the cloud deck, a window left lit on the forty-second floor. These are not landmark portraits. They are mood pieces about a city that still rewards attention. Each frame in the series sits comfortably alone and even better in pairs or threes, building a quiet narrative across a wall. Printed as pigment on Alu-Dibond with a matte surface and a floating mount, the tonality holds: deep shadow detail, no glare, the highlights restrained. Curated in Berlin for people who treat New York less as a destination and more as a private register of feeling.
