Berlin Afterglow gathers the city after midnight — the hour when shop fronts hum with leftover neon, trams trail light across wet asphalt, and the streets settle into a softer, more honest version of themselves. The series moves through Kreuzberg corners, Mitte arcades, Schöneberg windows and the long quiet stretches between U-Bahn stations, looking for the moments Berlin doesn't stage for anyone. Color sits warm and saturated against deep blacks; long exposures pull traffic into ribbon and let figures dissolve into the frame. There's a debt here to the cinematic register of Wim Wenders and the colour-soaked nights of late Wong Kar-wai, but the geography is Berlin and the mood is the city's own — half tired, half awake, never tidy. Each frame in the series leans into the same quiet contradiction: a city famous for being unpolished, rendered in a photographic register that finds its glamour anyway. Hung together or alone, these images read as evening companions — work that asks a room to soften its lighting, pour something, and stop hurrying.
