30 Days in Tokyo #9 is a hotel-lobby still on 35mm film by Frida — a green vinyl bench and a dusty-pink companion chair, bentwood honey frames, a patterned mauve carpet pulling its own shadow grid across the floor. Late afternoon sun cuts through an unseen window and lays a clean diagonal across the seats. Nobody is sitting. The room is doing its own quiet thinking.
Where other frames in the series chase the street, this one stays indoors and lets a 70s interior speak. The complementary pink and green hold each other in tension; the wooden curve of the armrest carries the eye from foreground chair to background bench. Grain is honest, the colour is unretouched film, the geometry is found, not arranged.

Each piece ships flat in protective packaging designed to handle courier transit without damage.
Integrated floating wall-mount sits slightly off the wall, casting a subtle shadow. Exhibition sizes and up — use a solid interior wall or fittings rated for heavier loads.

Care
Dry microfiber cloth for dust. For stubborn marks, dampen with water or anti-static screen cleaner. Avoid paper towels, ammonia-based cleaners, and abrasives — they scratch the acrylic.
As with any photographic print, prolonged direct sunlight will eventually fade the colors. Hang out of long-duration direct sun where possible.
Hang on a dry interior wall. Bathrooms and other high-humidity rooms aren’t ideal for long-term display.

Thirty days, a 35mm camera, and a city Frida learned by walking.
30 Days in Tokyo is Frida's month-long notebook of the city — shot on 35mm film, walked block by block, returned to the same neighbourhoods at different hours until something gave way. Less a guidebook, more a mood log: the chairs in a hotel lobby at 3pm, a noodle counter through fogged glass, the cold blue of a vending machine on a wet street. Frida is drawn to the in-between Tokyo — the hours when staff are turning the lights up and the city is rehearsing for evening. Colour does the heavy lifting. She lets film grain breathe, leans into the warm pinks and tungsten yellows, and trusts a slow shutter to keep things human. No styling, no staging, no drama imported from outside the frame. The series sits together as a body because every image holds the same patience: a room or a corner observed long enough to start speaking back. Hung as a pair or a wall of three, the frames carry between them like pages from the same notebook, each one a small weather system of light, fabric, and time of day.
