New Europeans is a series about how a city feels when you actually live in it. Not monuments, not postcards — terraces, side streets, rooftops at the end of a long day. Late gold on a café awning, cobblestones still wet and holding the headlights, a balcony where a television tower stands quietly in the haze. The people in these frames are never posing. They are mid-sentence, mid-glance, half-turned away — the small unguarded moments that make a place yours rather than somewhere you visited. The palette stays close to what the hour gives: camel and cream, navy, warm grey, the amber of a streetlamp, the blue that arrives just before dark. It is a European mood more than a European map. These works belong in rooms where people gather and stay a while — a kitchen, a hallway you pass a hundred times a week, a living room that fills up on a Friday evening. They reward the second look, the way a good evening does.
