Artist
JonXs
JonXs is a Berlin-based artist working with glass and on canvas. A sneaker addict from the dawn of time, he draws his vocabulary from fashion and comics — Mickey-eared silhouettes wearing Vetements ear tags, wine snobs daydreaming of Portofino, “1% Batman” antiheroes leering from beneath 032c caps.
His running series Boring Vine since 1988 is a half-affectionate, half-merciless satire of Berlin’s polite striver class — painted in pop-comic graffiti language, served with a deferential handshake.
A rabbit head explodes from a peach-and-navy field, blue spray-paint feathers sprouting from the ears, hot pink swipes flying past the cheeks like comet trails. A neat "BAD BUNNY® 2023" stamps the lower right. The eye is one tiny black dot, completely unbothered.
The caption is a fact pretending to be a metaphor: "Rabbits' teeth never stop growing, so they need to gnaw on objects to keep them at a manageable length. This is why they often chew on furniture or cords." Read it twice. JonXs paints appetite as an anatomical inevitability. — from JonXs's series notes.
Printed on premium aluminum composite with archival pigment inks. The neon pinks and the dripped peach blacks survive the transfer; the print pops on a white wall the way the painting pops in a studio. From the Boring Vine since 1988 series.
Available in six sizes; the neon-pink streaks are the brightest accent in the series — works as a single vivid centrepiece in a calmer room, or as a co-conspirator in a maximalist gallery wall. Squared format. Free shipping for newsletter members.
Why this price
A gallery charges 2–3× more for the same print. Here's where the money goes.
online-only studio
€499
For a 120×80 cm Exhibition print. You keep €700+ — that's the difference.
No rent on a prime-street corner.
No resellers. No commission chain.
How it arrives
Your artwork with an integrated aluminum mounting frame pre-attached to the back, plus a short installation note.
Each piece ships flat in protective packaging designed to handle courier transit without damage.
Integrated floating wall-mount sits slightly off the wall, casting a subtle shadow. Exhibition sizes and up — use a solid interior wall or fittings rated for heavier loads.
1–2 weeks from order. Each piece is produced on demand.
Please note: Wall screws, hooks, and dowels are not included. Use fittings appropriate for your wall type (drywall, brick, concrete) and the size you’ve chosen.
Care
Dry microfiber cloth for dust. For stubborn marks, dampen with water or anti-static screen cleaner. Avoid paper towels, ammonia-based cleaners, and abrasives — they scratch the acrylic.
As with any photographic print, prolonged direct sunlight will eventually fade the colors. Hang out of long-duration direct sun where possible.
Hang on a dry interior wall. Bathrooms and other high-humidity rooms aren’t ideal for long-term display.

The Series
Teeth that never stop growing.
Wine snobs at the Wannsee Golf Club. A man chasing recognition through Senator Lounges and watch collections. A woman pondering OnlyFans. Berlin's ladder-climbers, painted as cartoon antiheroes who almost get the joke — but not quite. Boring Vine since 1988 is JonXs's running satire of the city's polite striver class, half-affectionate, half-merciless, always rendered in the bright pop-comic language of his canvas-and-glass practice. JonXs grew up on sneakers, fashion campaigns, and Sunday-morning cartoons; that vocabulary shows up in every figure. Mickey-eared silhouettes wear Vetements ear tags. A pretentious wine collector daydreams of a Portofino estate to Edith Piaf. A "1% Batman" leers from beneath a 032c cap. The label "Boring Vine since 1988 — Premium Edition" is the artist's own brand: a vintage that aged into nothing in particular, served with a deferential handshake at the door. The series doesn't mock its subjects from above. It sits at the same table, drinks the expensive wine, and notices the punchline. Each piece is a portrait of someone trying — too hard, too late, too publicly — to belong. Berlin's mirror, painted in pinks and blacks and the occasional pink nineteen-eighty-eight in handwritten cursive.
