A Glimpse Within #2, wall art print — a young woman seated cross-legged with her back to us, head bowed against her own hand, rendered in dense navy strokes that read almost wet on the cream ground. Her hair is pulled into a small knot at the crown; the navy of her clothes catches the light in places where the brush moved fastest. Around her the wall is covered in nervous handwritten script, none of it legible, all of it familiar. The composition draws on the introspective register of contemporary figurative painting — Jenny Saville's confident weight, the inward quiet of Marlene Dumas — without borrowing their palette.
Where the first piece in the series sits its figure in profile against sparser script, this frame turns the back fully toward the viewer and lets the script crowd the room. The hand at the temple does the work — a small private gesture that anchors the whole scene. Nothing about the pose performs. It's the most withdrawn piece in the series, and the most legible as feeling.
A pigment print on Alu-Dibond, frameless with a floating mount effect. The deep navy holds its density across the matte surface, and the cream ground keeps the script feeling like graphite on paper. Sizes from 60×60 cm to 150×150 cm. Curated in Berlin, printed in Europe. Free EU shipping.

How it arrives
Your artwork with an integrated aluminum mounting frame pre-attached to the back, plus a short installation note.
Each piece ships flat in protective packaging designed to handle courier transit without damage.
Integrated floating wall-mount sits slightly off the wall, casting a subtle shadow. Exhibition sizes and up — use a solid interior wall or fittings rated for heavier loads.
1–2 weeks from order. Each piece is produced on demand.
Please note: Wall screws, hooks, and dowels are not included. Use fittings appropriate for your wall type (drywall, brick, concrete) and the size you’ve chosen.
Care
Dry microfiber cloth for dust. For stubborn marks, dampen with water or anti-static screen cleaner. Avoid paper towels, ammonia-based cleaners, and abrasives — they scratch the acrylic.
As with any photographic print, prolonged direct sunlight will eventually fade the colors. Hang out of long-duration direct sun where possible.
Hang on a dry interior wall. Bathrooms and other high-humidity rooms aren’t ideal for long-term display.

The Series
A figure turned inward, navy strokes against a wall of half-remembered words.
A Glimpse Within is a small body of painted figures rendered in deep navy and black, set against cream grounds laced with handwritten script. The series sits at the intersection of portraiture and journal-page — bodies turned inward, posed in moments of private thought, surrounded by the language we use when no one is reading. The script never resolves into legible sentences; it stays suggestion, the texture of an interior monologue caught at its messiest. We worked the figures in confident painterly strokes, leaving the gestural marks visible — the kind of mark-making that admits the hand. Palette is restrained: ink-dense navy, charcoal black, warm off-white. The mood draws on the introspective register of contemporary figurative painters — the way Jenny Saville handles weight, the quiet in Marlene Dumas's smaller works — without the violence. These are pieces for rooms that already think for themselves: a reading corner, a study, the wall above a desk where decisions get made. Each frame in the series shifts the figure's pose and the density of the script around them, but the question they ask stays the same: what does it look like when someone is alone with what they know?
