Cloudy Dream #1

Cloudy Dream is a series about sky as feeling. Soft pastel gradients — lavender bleeding into peach, peach into pale buttercream — held against a single, lightly placed cloud. The work sits closer to colour-field painting than to weather photography. Each frame in the series isolates one cloud, one moment, one shift in the gradient, and lets the rest breathe. We built the series in a photographic register, with a slight chromatic grain that softens the sky into something almost textile. Inspired by the quiet upward gaze of Rinko Kawauchi and the colour ease of late James Turrell sketches, the images are meant to lower the volume of a room rather than fill it. They work best where you want the wall to exhale: above a low sofa, beside a tall window, at the end of a long hallway. The palette across the series stays gentle but specific — sunset lilac, morning peach, sea-glass mint, faded apricot — so the pieces read as a family without ever repeating themselves. A small, slow body of work for rooms that want air.
