The Mother City is our love letter to Cape Town — a series shot through with Atlantic light, granite boulders, and the soft, salted weather that sits between two oceans. Frida moves through the city and its edges with a quiet eye: the harbour, the cable car shadows on Table Mountain, the coastline at False Bay where penguins outnumber tourists on a good morning. Nothing is staged. The frames lean documentary, with a colour register that favours seafoam, sandstone, weathered timber, and the cool slate of the southern sea.
