Splash is a series about the second pigment stops being liquid and starts being image. Each piece in the series treats fluid paint as subject — pours, drips, ribboning veils and stray spatter, all suspended on a clean white field so the gesture itself becomes the composition. The register is photographic in the spirit of Wolfgang Tillmans' early Freischwimmer studies and Ori Gersht's high-speed pigment work, but the energy is closer to a studio floor at 3pm: ad-hoc, colour-led, slightly reckless. Across the series we lean into a tight set of palettes — citrus and forest, ink and rose, cobalt and rust — letting each piece resolve into its own mood while the formal logic stays consistent. White space is the common thread. It gives the colour somewhere to breathe and gives the eye somewhere to rest. The works sit well together as a pair or trio, and equally hold a wall on their own. Curated as a body that reads modern without trying to be loud — abstract painting language, photographic clarity, no performance.
