A Glimpse Within is a series of charcoal-and-ink portraits set against pages that never stop writing themselves. Figures sit half-finished, half-thought; cobalt-blue script floods the paper around them — letters that almost form words, sentences that trail off mid-breath. The register is literary, not theatrical. We were thinking of unsent letters, journal pages left open on a kitchen table, the way handwriting carries a person's mood before language catches up. Each frame in the series leans on the same restricted palette: deep ink black, paper white, and that one insistent cobalt that refuses to stay still. The drawing is loose where it can be and tight where the face needs it — eyelids, knuckles, the hollow under a cheekbone. Across the series the figures shift posture but share a temperature: turned slightly inward, lit softly, alone with something they haven't decided to share yet. Inspired by the confessional sketchbooks of European illustrators and the quiet portraiture of Egon Schiele, A Glimpse Within is for rooms that prefer thought to noise — a study, a reading corner, a long hallway where you walk past the same line of writing every morning.
