Edge of Suspense #1, impresión mural en una tonalidad profunda de blanco y negro — un acantilado monolítico que se alza desde una superficie inquieta, la cara de la roca fisurada en largas vetas verticales, el agua tornándose plata donde encuentra la base. Un segundo promontorio reposa en la bruma a la izquierda, más pequeño, casi borrado por la luz. El encuadre se ciñe a la piedra: el acantilado ocupa los dos tercios derechos, y el mar hace el resto. El plano inicial de la serie, y el más cargado de sus silencios. Un registro próximo al de los paisajes marinos de Sugimoto, *sin la calma de postal.*
Donde los planos posteriores se alejan hacia promontorios enteros o leen la rompiente como pura trama, éste permanece cerca del muro. El recorte lee la roca como escultura: placas resquebrajadas, una boca negra en la línea del agua, reflejos pálidos como sal allí donde el oleaje lleva siglos puliendo la base. Nada del momento es dramático; todo en él está cargado.
Impresión pigmentada sobre Alu-Dibond, sin marco, con efecto de montaje flotante. Los negros profundos y los blancos papel ganan una profundidad tonal limpia, y el acabado mate mantiene la superficie libre de reflejos. Formatos desde 30×20 cm hasta 210×140 cm. How it arrives
Your artwork with an integrated aluminum mounting frame pre-attached to the back, plus a short installation note.
Each piece ships flat in protective packaging designed to handle courier transit without damage.
Integrated floating wall-mount sits slightly off the wall, casting a subtle shadow. Exhibition sizes and up — use a solid interior wall or fittings rated for heavier loads.
1–2 weeks from order. Each piece is produced on demand.
Please note: Wall screws, hooks, and dowels are not included. Use fittings appropriate for your wall type (drywall, brick, concrete) and the size you’ve chosen.
Care
Dry microfiber cloth for dust. For stubborn marks, dampen with water or anti-static screen cleaner. Avoid paper towels, ammonia-based cleaners, and abrasives — they scratch the acrylic.
As with any photographic print, prolonged direct sunlight will eventually fade the colors. Hang out of long-duration direct sun where possible.
Hang on a dry interior wall. Bathrooms and other high-humidity rooms aren’t ideal for long-term display.

The Series
A monolith holding the sea at bay, just before something gives.
Edge of Suspense is a series about thresholds — coastal moments held at the precise second before motion. Cliffs that look about to fall, water about to break, fog about to lift. We composed each frame in a deep black-and-white register, leaning into the tonal weight of large-format landscape work, and pulled the contrast just hard enough to let stone read like sculpture and water read like silk. The mood sits closer to Sugimoto than to travel photography — atmospheric, slow, quiet at the edges, but with something coiled at the center. Across the series the eye finds the same vocabulary: monolithic rock, restless surface, light coming sideways from a hazy sky. Some frames pull wide to a whole headland, others close in on a single wall of stone where the surf does the talking. None are pretty in the postcard sense; all are calm in the held-breath sense. Curated in Berlin and produced as a coherent body of work, the series is built for rooms that already have weight — concrete, oak, linen, plaster — and reward distance. Stand close for the texture; step back for the mass.
